Why a good parent needs a Great God
I am a good parent. Oh, I’m not just tooting my own horn! Complete strangers in the grocery store as well as friends who know me well have often told me. My guess is that you are a good parent, too, even if you don’t feel like it at the moment.
But being a good parent does not prevent heartache and trauma in your family. I know. My family has been rocked to the core by the storms of mental illness and addiction not just once, but twice. I am so thankful that I have a Great God who has given me strength to endure. My prayer is that you will allow our Great God to strengthen and comfort you, as well.
